美国国土安全部和移民局联合宣布将对STEM专业范围修订，新增加8个专业领域。在这些领域学习的学生可获得36个月的OPT期限，无疑给留学生提供了便利，更有利于继续留美工作，分别为:

需要注意的是，具体能否拿到资格，还得看你就读的美国大学是否提交了相应材料给政府，将该专业申请为STEM。
其实，很多学校都迫不及待地想往STEM里多加几个专业。毕竟，STEM专业新增+OPT延期，能够让更多的留学生有充分时间在美国求职实习、就业。OPT不仅是在美国积累工作经验的途径，也是取得美国工作签证H1B的重要途径。
除此以外，有长达3年美国工作经验，如同给简历镶了“金边”。出国留学的学生并不少，但是有工作经验的海归还是非常抢手的。
